Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how MoneyWise Tools handles information when you use our website, calculators, accounts, saved-calculation features, and paid subscription features.
1. Information you provide
When you create or use an account, we may process information such as your email address and authentication information. When you choose to save a calculation, we may store the calculator name, inputs, results, and related account identifiers. Information you type into a calculator is used to perform the requested calculation; whether it is stored depends on the feature you use, such as choosing to save a result.
2. Subscription and payment information
Payments are processed by Stripe. MoneyWise Tools may receive transaction and subscription information needed to confirm payment status and provide Premium access, such as an email address, customer or subscription identifiers, payment status, plan information, and transaction-related metadata. MoneyWise Tools does not need to store your full payment-card number or card security code to provide the Service; those payment credentials are handled by the payment processor.
3. Account and database provider
MoneyWise Tools uses Supabase for account authentication and database functionality. Account and saved-calculation information may therefore be processed and stored through Supabase infrastructure in order to provide those features.
4. Hosting and technical information
Our hosting, security, and infrastructure providers may automatically process technical information necessary to deliver and protect the Service, such as IP address, browser or device information, request data, timestamps, and security or diagnostic logs. Such information may be used for security, fraud prevention, troubleshooting, performance, and operation of the Service.
5. How we use information
We use information to provide and operate the Service; authenticate users; save, retrieve, and delete calculations at a user's request; confirm subscription status and provide paid features; maintain security and prevent abuse; troubleshoot and improve reliability; comply with legal obligations; and communicate about accounts or the Service when necessary.
6. How we share information
We may disclose information to service providers that process it on our behalf or as necessary to provide the Service, including hosting/infrastructure providers, Supabase, and Stripe. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, protect rights or security, investigate fraud or abuse, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets. We do not state that payment or account providers are controlled by MoneyWise Tools; their own privacy practices also apply.
7. Cookies and local storage
The Service and its providers may use cookies, browser storage, or similar technologies that are necessary for authentication, session management, security, preferences, and operation of site features. If optional analytics or advertising technologies are added in the future, this Policy should be updated and any consent controls required by law should be implemented before those technologies are used.
8. Data retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain account and subscription records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect the Service. Saved calculations may remain associated with an account until deleted by the user or otherwise removed under our retention practices. Backup, security, or transaction records may persist for a limited period after deletion where reasonably necessary or legally required.
9. Your choices and requests
You may delete individual saved calculations using the available account controls. Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide additional rights concerning access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction of certain personal information. Requests may be submitted through the contact method provided on the MoneyWise Tools website. We may need to verify a request before acting on it.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information, but no internet service, database, or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your account credentials.
11. Children's privacy
MoneyWise Tools is a general financial-education service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that such information has been collected in circumstances requiring deletion, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
12. United States and international users
MoneyWise Tools operates in the United States. If you access the Service from another jurisdiction, information may be processed in the United States or other locations used by our service providers, subject to applicable law.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service or our practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated when required by applicable law.
